Decatur House Museum and Carriage House

Description: This brilliantly located site is only one block from the internationally famous White House. In the heart of the capital of the United States lies this fantastically modern Carriage House. There is a courtyard and garden. In addition, there are two Victorian parlors, which help to add an aristocratic atmosphere to this already beautifully handcrafted home. The father of American Architecture, Benjamin Henry Latrobe created a magnificent masterpiece with the Decatur House. It has a wall of windows, which is perfect for capturing the sunny days in Washington. Furthermore, there are French Doors that overlook a private courtyard. The courtyard is elegantly accompanied with gardens and a fountain.

Josephine Butler Parks Center

Description: The Josephine Butler Parks Center, dramatically situated on an elevated, landscaped half-acre lot in a prime location overlooking Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park, provides an excellent venue for a wide variety of events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, classes, meetings, recitals, concerts, theatrical performances, weddings, receptions, and parties. With Italian Renaissance-revival style architecture, marble-columned porte cochere entry, vaulting 14-foot ceilings with original moldings, large working fireplaces with carved wooden mantels, beautiful western exposure to sunsets across the Park, and French doors opening to wrought iron balconies with flowering tropical hibiscus and wave petunias, this former embassy provides a grand setting for small or large events.

Spaces can be rented individually or combined together in any number of ways to meet the size of your event or program. You also have the option of having a combined event with programs in the park!

Meridian House

Description: This is the perfect location for weddings. There are acres of gardens that surround this beautiful romantic fixture. In addition, it has a central gallery, which adds even more history to this site. The Meridian House is set in an 18th-century French townhouse style in 1921 for an American diplomat, Irwin Boyle. Ideal for weddings, it is even great for receptions, dinners and any other type of gathering that comes to mind. The capacity ranges from 25-500 depending on the type of function, so please contact the facility.
